Not exactly what I was hoping for

This book provides best practices for laying out a fulfillment center. My guess is that if you are in operations already and work in fulfillment, then there won't be much insight for you. I bought this book because I'm in management for a large Consumer Electronics manufacturer and I hoped to get a strategic overview of fulfillment operations practices so I could understand our challenges and work with the operations team as they endeavor to optimize our fulfillment practices. This text is a little too "down-in-the-weeds" for me.

It is a very well written book. The author spent a lot of time and did alot of research. However, unless you work in an order fulfillment house it will be very hard for the average layman to understand what he is talking about. This is not a step by step manual on how to start and run an order fulfillment operation. Although, the author is very knowlegable about his subject.

Incredible resource

This may not be for the casual turtle lover, but if you have any interest in turtle anatomy, physiology, ecology, biomechanics, or evolution you can't do better than to start here. This is an incredible resource if you are planning to study or learn about turtles more in depth. If you are planning to do research on our wonderful friends the turtles, I totally recommend you get this text.

Way over priced for what you get

This book is mostly anatomy instead of biology. Although I understand anatomy is involved in biology, I was hoping various areas of biology would be involved. This book should be renamed the anatomy of turtles. The book uses scientific terms and numerous latin names which is fine for me, but it seems as if these are simply thrown in. The natural biology and life history characteristics I expected that would be in this book are completely absent or severely lacking Grammar and typing errors are scattered throughout the book and at this price (~$130 at the time) I would except for a near perfect book grammatically. Observations based on limited scientific research are overgeneralized to broad groups of turtles/tortoises that are simply untrue.This book just fell short of all of my expectation. I would not pay more than $40 for this book because I have read numerous other turtle books with just as good information at a much cheaper price.

If you are looking to learn more about natural history and biology of turtles, then do not buy this book!

If you are looking to learn about every bone in the turtles body and how it develops, this would be a good start, but I would suggest actual medical books on turtles, which there are plenty.

Although this book does compile quite a bit of knowledge and is very scientific, it is overpriced!

This book is not for reading. If you have a plant in mind and want to get a start on what properties it has this is your book. Best book on earth for that, may not have the exact species you are looking for but it will have the genus and your species will likely have almost identical properties.
