Material solved a real problem

I used this book to understand and solve a problem in which simulated faults in an inductive circuit were causing explosions. These explosions had been unanticipated by the engineers involved and the safety agencies. I was able to eliminate explosions in all gases except hydrogen as predicted based on information in this book. Wow!

Ken Kaiser's book on ESD is an expanded excerpt from his EMC bible. The book seems geared more towards terrestrial ESD, industrial processes in particular, but I've found the theory and calculations in it useful for vehicular and aerospace applications as well. It's nice to finally have a resource that enables one to generate some quantitative, in addition to quantitative, assessments of ESD risks.
