Whilst the printed book will undoubtedly find a place in many a library, it will also be of significant interest to researchers in the carbohydrate/glycosciences (synthetic carbohydrate chemists in particular). However, once purchased it is most likely that the textbook won't see too much 'off-the-shelf' action as the greater mobility and versatility of the CD-ROM will certainly see that it is in daily use.
